You mention not having lcd pin out native on the beagle is a "perceived" short coming. It is in fact a short comming. Some how having a low cost $150 dev board that can only connect to a >$600 display is strange to say the least. While this solution is better then nothing, its sure seems strange to go through all this OMAP34XX->DVI-framer->DVI-de-framer->lcd display. Especally when the ability to directly drive an LCD is native on the OMAP itself.
