I am an embedded software engineer with 19 years of experience ranging from very small 8-bit projects to very complex embedded Linux deployments. I am currently co-owner and founder of Keystones Electronic Solutions, which is a contract R&D company based in Pretoria, South Africa. For the past 7 years Keystone Electronic Solutions has been focusing on the delivery of embedded Linux platforms. As part of this effort we have delivered custom ARM based Linux systems and have been developing our own in-house SOMs in order to deploy bespoke hardware more quickly. Currently I head up a team of engineers that is responsible for our own embedded Linux distribution i.e. Guinnux. Guinnux has, under my leadership, been evolving over the past 7 years into an enterpise embedded Linux offering which is provided for free, as in beer, to any interested party.
