TABBY EVO is a hardware open source platform for electric vehicles. Free to use, available to everyone. It’s the 2nd version of our platform: now it’s harder, better, faster and stronger. It is an open source framework for the creation of vehicles: it can be used to bootstrap businesses (electric vehicle startups), to create your own vehicle, for education purposes, and much more. By using it you can save a lot of millions of dollars and years of R&D. All the plans and blueprints can be downloaded in the website’s download section. You are welcome and encouraged to improve the designs, work on them, and upload them to share your ideas with the community through the OSV forum. Inspiration: Tabby cats are cute, sharp and very intelligent. Although other cats are also intelligent, these cats learn well to live with humans and enjoy their lives.

Open Motors (formerly OSVehicle) is a project to create an OpenSource car platform that it can be a perfect to run a GNU/Linux system on it

Specifications

  • Speed 80 (mph)
  • Range: 75 (miles)
  • Power: 19 (kW)
  • Weight: 838 (lb)

Performance

  • Performance numbers are for research and testing purposes only and may vary.

Top Speed

  • Depends on the bodywork
  • 100 Km/h (62 mph), platform only
  • 129 Km/h (80 mph), but depends on the bodywork and low Cx coefficient

Max Range on standard batteries

  • Depends on the bodywork
  • 80 Km (50 mi), platform only
  • 120 Km (75 mi), but depends on the bodywork and low Cx coefficient

Max Climb*

  • Stable at 25%
  • * Depends on final vehicle weight

Approach and departure angles

  • Approach angle: 35 degrees
  • Departure angle: N/A (wheels are behind the chassis)
  • * Note: Platform only, numbers will change with weight and exterior body designs
