+ | |||
+ | As of 2015, it is now probably easier to list products that do NOT use embedded Linux, than to list those that do.
+ | That is, almost every embedded product imaginable (at least in the consumer space) uses embedded Linux. This includes
+ | routers, phones, cameras, TVs, set-tops, NAS devices, and media players, to name just a few.
+ | |||
+ | The purpose of this page now is mostly historical. if you know of a product that was introduced before 2005 that
+ | included embedded Linux, please put the information about it on this page. This will help document some of the
+ | early progress Linux made in the embedded and consumer electronics markets.
Please see the [[Talk:Products|talk page]] for information about how we want to populate this page. | Please see the [[Talk:Products|talk page]] for information about how we want to populate this page.

Revision as of 20:54, 31 January 2016
Here is a list of products which use embedded Linux.
As of 2015, it is now probably easier to list products that do NOT use embedded Linux, than to list those that do. That is, almost every embedded product imaginable (at least in the consumer space) uses embedded Linux. This includes routers, phones, cameras, TVs, set-tops, NAS devices, and media players, to name just a few.
The purpose of this page now is mostly historical. if you know of a product that was introduced before 2005 that included embedded Linux, please put the information about it on this page. This will help document some of the early progress Linux made in the embedded and consumer electronics markets.
Please see the talk page for information about how we want to populate this page.
