My interest in the RaspberryPi is primarily as a wireless mesh network node. I was involved in the effort of porting Byzantium Linux (http://project-byzantium.org/) to the RasPi (as well as maintaining it). I also used the RasPi in a Mini-Maker Faire project some weeks ago (http://drwho.virtadpt.net/archive/2013/10/13/mini-maker-faire-project-jades-lunchtop), which has forced me to learn a lot about hardware incompatibilities and input voltage weirdness because I'm now using that MMF project as my home server following a cross-country move...
