Collabora Ltd. is a private company founded in 2005 by Robert McQueen, Robert Taylor and Philippe Kalaf based in Cambridge, United Kingdom, with offices in Cambridge, Montreal and Barcelona. It provides consultancy for companies who are interested in using Open Source technologies. Collabora employ open source developers in a wide range of fields like the linux kernel, X.org and user interface technologies, but their main focus has been on improving the state of multimedia on linux through supporting projects such as the [GStreamer] multimedia framework, the Telepathy real-time communications framework and the Rygel DLNA server.
