The enclosed file is a PDF of a thermal study I did on a Raspberry Pi cpu. The point of the test was to determine how hot the CPU would go before it either halted or toasted. Luckily it halted before it fried beyond use.

Although I had some concerns about the 1.8V LDO/LAN9512 issue it seems as if the real issue is what's connected to the USB ports and what do they require to work.
