Guidelines

  • stand alone operations (not usb based)
  • cost less that $100.00
  • available from multiple vendors
  • usable in a hackathon environment

Notes and Info

  • There are a lot of generic and "knock-off" versions of each of these devices. The most popular "name brand" version is listed here. searching ebay and other online vendors will turn up clones of many of these devices. some less expensive, some more expensive. these are the models i am purchasing for review. your experience with clones may vary.
  • some of the devices come unassembled. if so, i have noted it with the price. as part of the review for that device i will rate the ease of assembly.
  • Linux Compatibility is essential to me, so my reviews will be geared towards use with linux distros such as Ubuntu, Fedora, and Debian, but i will certain do minimal tests with Windows.
