Qseven RZG1M SOM Module

iWave is pleased to announce its collaboration with Renesas for developing System-On-Module (SOM) based on [http://www.iwavesystems.com/renesas-rg-g1m-mpu-qseven-som-iwave-press-release Renesas RZ/G1M microprocessor] (MPU). RZ/G1M-based SOM is Qseven R2.0 compatible industrial grade MPU module named as iW-RainboW-G20M which supports 1GB DDR3 RAM, 4GB eMMC Flash and 2MB SPI NOR Flash with expandable options. The module includes the Gigabit Ethernet PHY, Micro SD slot, USB HUB provided with the Linux BSP support. This MPU module supports industrial operating temperature and hence it can be used for various industrial applications.

Renesas’ RZ/G1M MPU integrates dual ARM® Cortex®-A15 cores operating at 1.5GHz core frequency and includes plenty high performance peripherals such as PowerVR™SGX544MP2 3-D graphics core @ 520MHz from Imagination Technologies Limited, 64bit DDR3 @ DDR3-1600 speed, Dual channel full HD encode & decode, three channel video IN support, USB3.0, SATA etc. The collaboration of the two companies brings new opportunities to embedded developers for developing solutions for variety of applications such as entertainment, digital signage, HMI, Smart appliances, Office equipments, POS, ATM, real time image recognition, video surveillance, etc.
